| Al Gennett: CEO
Alan Gennett, Chief Executive Officer delivers more than 32 years of Technical, Sales, Managerial, and Company Ownership experience to Telephone Technologies, LLC. His Telecommunications career began in 1973 while still in High School as a part time employee of New York Telephone Company. Soon after he became a fulltime employee and literally started from the ground level, upward. Beginning as an Installation and Repair Technician. Al evolved through Divestiture in 1984 continuing his career and telecommunications education with NYNEX, AT&T, and eventually Verizon. Throughout these transitional years, Al became certified in selling and implementing a plethora of AT&T/Lucent/Avaya products ranging from small business communications systems right up through large end systems.
After 19 years with the Bell System companies, Al retired and immediately went into business for himself, continuing to sell and install the Lucent/Avaya product line that he was so well familiar with. In 1994 he formally became an Authorized Lucent/Avaya Business Partner covering New York State under the business name of Info-Tel USA Communications, Inc.
In 1999, the company experienced excellent growth and was renamed Safari Telecom. Al’s company was the recipient of the Avaya Alti Growth Awards in 1999 and 2000. After several years as CEO of Safari Telecom, Al had an excellent opportunity to sell his interest and realize the benefits of the growth and success of the company that he originally began in 1994. Al, however, was not remotely close to leaving the industry.
In 2004, Al started up yet another Telecommunications Company and founded Telephone Technologies, LLC. He again became an Authorized Avaya Dealer, based on his past positive experience, knowledge, partnership development, and success collaborating with Avaya, Inc.
Al is married and has 5 children. He is involved in his community and after 32 years still thoroughly enjoys working within the Telecommunications Industry, greeting new opportunities and potential customers the same way he did when he first started. Along the way, he has NEVER forgotten the key to success and that is to ensure that all of his customers, embedded base or new, are totally satisfied with their decision to partner with Telephone Technologies, LLC. In 2006, the Telephone Technologies Operations Plan calls for a robust and continued steady growth in all areas of our business.
